A year of innovatin' -- 2008
adamd — Thu, 01/01/2009 - 18:21
We had ten excellent gatherings in 2008. New Year's Day seems like an apporiate time to look back, as we get excited for 2009.
Mobile Web with Jason Grigsby: It was hard not to be excited about the mobile web and the possibilities after Jason's presentation (slides and audio).
Getting Down to Business: Attorney Kevin Spence and accountant Lynn S. Hoyle answered questions and gave business and tax advice at a busy time of year.
State of Portland Tech
adamd — Thu, 12/04/2008 - 11:14
It's been quite a year for the Portland tech scene. Web Innovators itself has gone from cozy gatherings around a table to much larger events. Last night we had more than 40 people together at CubeSpace to talk about 2008 and look ahead to what we need to do in 2009.
There was nobody better to lead the discussion than the Silicon Florist himself, Rick Turoczy, who has been a true cheerleader for the community the last year.

A successful first Demolicious
adamd — Wed, 07/02/2008 - 20:01
We were overwhelmed with the interest this event received. The docket filled up fast and it became obvious people wanted to show off what they're working on. Then as the crowd filtered into CubeSpace, we also learned there are a lot of people who want to see what others are up to. There will be another Demolicious soon.
Thanks to everyone who came and made the event a success. A special thanks to the five demoers and Strands, who sponsored us with refreshments.

Office Space in TenPod
lev — Fri, 05/09/2008 - 16:05
I currently work in a collective office space in the Rocket Building. The space is called TenPod. It's a great to space to work in, in a really great building, and a fun neighborhood. I'm currently the only web/tech/graphic designer in the space, so have a self-interest in getting some more folks like you involved! From the developer:
